Choosing a Realtor is just as critical as choosing what price to sell your home for. The amount of return will be greatly increased, if who you work with, has the time and resources to dedicate to your sale. Your home is unique; it deserves the same dedication, attention to detail and care from your Realtor that you have committed to it.
IT'S NOT TOO LATE to take advantage of these last days of plenty, all that's required is smart research, thinking outside the box and commitment from both ends.
Ultimately, the answer is not the panicked knee jerk reaction to a softening market, resist the urge to price your home "sky" high in order to benefit. Place it at what the market will bear, use a professional & dedicated Realtor to place your home ahead of the pack.
Think of it this way, if the market were to drop significantly over the next 6-12 months and you over priced your home at the tail end of the "high" period and don't sell, you just lost much more return than you would have by pricing your home accurately when you had the chance.
Remember the golden rule when it comes to selling anything; RESEARCH
Last but not least, use a Realtor who will give you something in return! Why not sell with a Century 21 agent and have a week's vacation at one of over 30 world class world wide resorts? Or collect the air miles. Its the least we expect when purchasing groceries or gas, why not when buying or selling a home?
